My Approach

Since no two bodies are alike no two treatments are the same, so I do not follow standard routines; instead, I tailor each session to meet your specific needs at the time.I offer both 60- and 90-minute sessions, using a combination of my skills such as Swedish massage, soft & deep tissue therapy, Myofascial release & advanced remedial massage that target specific 'problem areas' in the body.
What To Expect

Your first session will include a full consultation and assessment where we will agree on a treatment plan and strategy to address what you need help with. My aim is to treat the root cause of your problem so by combining my skills I can treat a range of chronic or acute conditions as well as offering treatments designed for relaxation too. As part of your treatment plan and if relevant, I will recommend rehabilitative functional movements to support your healing process at home.

Your treatment will always be unique to you and whether this is your first, or part of a course of treatments I will consider your physical, emotional, and mental state and customise the treatment to meet those needs at that time. So even if you attend regular appointments for specific work and need time for your mind and body to reconnect and switch of from your stresses or worries at that time, I am there to support you.

How Many Sessions Would You Recommend?
This will vary between everyone. For some people, a few sessions may resolve symptoms. For more chronic/deeply ingrained issues, a longer period of treatment is often advised.

"First time meeting and working with Bonnie, which was a wonderful experience. From the most reassuring, welcoming fact-find about my needs, the treatment itself clearly comes from a highly educated and experienced place, to the cozy and safe environment. Having struggled with sleep issues for a while now, I was so close to nodding off. Haven't felt so calm and relaxed in a long time. Thank you Bonnie, see you again soon x"
Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to book a course of treatments?
No. While a course of treatments may be beneficial for long-standing or complex issues, you are welcome to book individual sessions as needed. I’ll always work with you to find the right approach for your needs.
Can I book a one-off massage for relaxation?
Absolutely. Massage is a wonderful way to take time out for yourself and reconnect with your body. A one-off treatment can support stress relief, nervous system regulation, and overall wellbeing.
Why should I have regular massages?
Regular massage can help manage stress, support movement and posture, prevent injury, and ease muscular tension before it becomes a bigger issue. It’s an excellent way to care for your physical and emotional health on an ongoing basis.
Can massage help with chronic pain?
Yes, massage can offer relief from chronic pain. However, if your pain is long-term, recurring, or linked to deeper patterns in the body, I may suggest exploring Myofascial Release (MFR). MFR is a core part of my practice and is particularly effective in working with chronic conditions and deep-seated tension.
Why do you include a consultation?
Your first session includes a consultation so I can understand your needs, history, and goals. This helps ensure the treatment is safe, personalised, and aligned with what you’re hoping to achieve.
What types of massage do you offer?
I offer a blend of techniques including remedial, myofascial release, Swedish, and deep tissue massage. Every session is tailored — I may combine methods depending on what your body needs on the day.
What should I wear for my treatment?
You’ll be asked to undress to your comfort level. You’ll be covered with towels throughout the session and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
Do I need to feel pain for the massage to be effective?
No. Deep pressure can be helpful, but it should never be painful. I work with your body, not against it, and always adapt the pressure to what feels comfortable and effective for you.
Will I feel sore afterwards?
Some people may feel a little achy or tired after treatment, especially if we’ve worked on areas of tension. This is usually short-lived. Staying hydrated and resting after your session will support recovery.

What are rehabilitative functional movements?
Rehabilitative functional movements are simple, targeted movements designed to help restore strength, stability, and mobility after injury, pain, or chronic tension. These exercises focus on improving how your body moves in everyday life — things like walking, bending, reaching, and balancing — rather than isolated muscle training.
They support your recovery by reinforcing the changes made during hands-on treatment and helping prevent future issues.
